I still just don’t believe this!
My husband, Brad, brought a computer graphics tablet with him from Australia almost 5 years ago. Somehow it disappeared and he’s been sort of accusing me of hiding it. Neither of us have seen it for about 3 years. I have been looking high and low, left and right, up and down in every closet and room in the house for at least two years – searching through boxes, under beds, and even down in the basement. Surely, I’d never store it or anything like it in the basement since it’s damp down there, especially after two years of floods starting in 2008!
Then it was just – poof – on top of my very antique Minnesota Sewing Machine Cabinet!
On Saturday morning at about 5am, (and it was still dark), I heard a thunk in our living room and asked Brad to go see what the noise was. We were working in our computer room and our dog, Gypsy, was in the room with us and the door was shut. Our little love of a cat could not make that volume of noise on her most crazy day and she was in the kitchen.
After going into the living room with a flashlight, Brad said he didn’t know what caused the noise but….. “Thanks Babe – when did you find the drawing tablet?”
I said – WHAT?
“Thanks for finding the tablet.” He brought it into the computer room to show it to me.
I asked, “Where exactly was it?”
“On the sewing machine in the lounge room.” Aussies say lounge room instead of living room.
We went into the living room and I had him point out the spot exactly for me. I have no idea where it came from, how it got there, or where it’s been for the last three years! The graphics tablet was completely covered with thick layer of dust on it's top. The top of the sewing machine cabinet was fairly dust free!
I never put any items on top of the treadle-style sewing machine cabinet! It’s old burled oak! I had gotten the mail the day before and I would have noticed it sitting right there since I walked right by it.
Because Brad picked the tablet up and carried it into the computer room and handed it to me, it had his fingerprints and mine everywhere we handled it so I couldn't see if there were prints from whoever moved it to the cabinet - drat! When it was plugged into the computer after cleaning it with care, it worked perfectly!
I remember reading about paranormal manifestation of material objects. It seems that sometimes things show up when it is the right time and the ones it is intended for are ready to receive it. Since I'm trying to design a line of t-shirts, I was thinking it would be great to have one of those.
